The body of the Meniketti is crafted with a six layer bound hand-carved AAA maple top, which is fitted to a body made from a solid piece of mahogany. The tone qualities, resonance and sustain of this guitar is impeccable. Marrying maple's clarity and definition to mahogany's richness and depth produces a tonal complexity that no single-wood guitar can ever match. And the degrees of resonance and sustain produced with this combination are only further enhanced by the deep-set quarter-sawn mahogany neck with 17-degree back-angled headstock. The 24 5/8" - inch scale length bolt on neck is also made from one solid piece of quarter sawn mahogany with a 22-fret single bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard with round MOP inlays and Dave's traditional moon / star inlay at the first fret. Optimum playability is insured by a fast but comfortably rounded neck profile. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Jazz Model SH-2 the neck position, which is a classic moderate output humbucker and at the bridge a Seynour Duncan Custom 5 SH-14. The SH-14 is like a high output '59 Model with a deeper bottom end and expanded output. The combination of these two pick-ups can give warm bluesy tones in addition to hard fat rockin' tones. And to keep you tightly in tune Grover 18:1 tuning keys.

Other features include Gotoh Tune-o-matic bridge and aluminum stopbar tailpiece, multi-ply white and black binding on both the guitar body top plate and headstock , single ply binding on the finger board, gold hardware and a custom 1 11/16" width bone nut. The neck has a custom thin profile for easy playability. Vintage electronics with military spec sealed volume and tone controls and Vishay/Sprague Orange Drop Capacitors.
